IMS 2016 ANNOUNCEMENT

It is our pleasure to announce the 12th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (IMS 2016) , which will be hosted by National Instruments in Austin, TX on December 5-7, 2016 and will be co-organized by the NSF I/UCRC for Intelligent Maintenance Systems (IMS). This event will be held in conjunction with the NSF I/UCRC for Intelligent Maintenance Systems (IMS) 32nd Industry Advisory Board Meeting, which will take place on December 7, 2016 and be hosted by Samsung in Austin, TX.

IMS 2016 will bring together leading academic researchers, and industry practitioners to present the latest innovations, on-going efforts and best practices in the areas of Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Industry 4.0; Cyberphysical Systems (CPS); Industrial Predictive Analytics and Prognostics; and Digital Design and Manufacturing. Participants will identify new initiatives, applications, and research advances in these areas, as well as demonstrate the ready-to-deploy technologies. There will be numerous opportunities for networking and for attendees and participants to discuss the collaborative opportunities.

NSF I/UCRC for Intelligent Maintenance Systems (IMS)

CALL FOR PAPERS

The working language for the workshop is English. papers will be solicited in a wide variety of areas relating to the impact, as well as technologies that enable, Industry 4.0, Cyber Physical Systems and Predictive Analytics in today's manufacturing climate. The material submitted must be original, not published or being considered elsewhere. Papers are limited to 6 pages, formatted in the standard 2-column IFAC Proceedings format, according to the instructions given on the website Elsevier IFAC Publications. Papers must be submitted, in electronic format, using the paper submission link below.


All publication material submitted for presentation at an IFAC-sponsored meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original and hence cannot be already published, nor can it be under review elsewhere. The authors take responsibility for the material that has been submitted. IFAC-sponsored conferences will abide by the highest standard of ethical behavior in the review process as explained on the Elsevier webpage and the authors will abide by the IFAC publication ethics guidelines

Accepted papers that have been presented at an IFAC meeting will be published in the proceedings of the event using the open-access IFAC-PapersOnLine series hosted on ScienceDirect. To this end, the author(s) must confer the copyright to IFAC when they submit the final version of the paper through the paper submission process. The author(s) retain the right to use a copy of the paper for personal use, internal institutional use at the author(s)’ institution, or scholarly posting at an open web site operated by the author(s) or their institution, limited to noncommercial use. Any other use of the paper requires approval by IFAC.
